Region of the Gilled Cooler

This multimedia work is part of Dr Dew Harrison's "Deconstructing Duchamp" project, 1996-98, which interconnected 26 websites created by individual internationally-sited artists and was based on Duchamp’s "The bride stripped bare by her bachelors, even".

knight's tour

My interpretation of the gilled cooler plays with the laws of physics and I hope captures the spirit of Duchamp while incorporating some of the 'nonsense' of Lewis Carroll.

"The desire part of the Bachelor-Machine alters its mechanical state - forms steam.
Bride, instead of being an a-sensual icicle, warmly rejects (not chastely) the bachelors' brusque offer.
Cooler of transparent glass - several plates one above the other.

In spite of the cooler there is no discontinuity between the Bachelor-Machine and the Bride.
The connections will be electrical and thus will express the stripping: an alternating process.
Short circuit if necessary".
